Madison looks for first win over Rangers, who want winning record heading into district

Senior linebacker Daniel De Hoyos junior linebacker Colton Hornsby and junior linebacker Jacob Stover look to celebrate another win at Comalander tonight when they face Madison. Both teams are coming off losses and look to clinch a 2-1 record heading into district play.

Football looks to wrangle the Madison Mavericks at their shootout at 7:30 p.m. today  at Comalander Stadium.

Both teams come off tough losses and look to get back on the horse with a win.

The Rangers have been in this position before –  losing to Reagan early in the season last year and then going undefeated in district and playing in the Class 5A state championship final.

Madson enters with an 0-2 record after a blowout against New Braunfels 48-0 and a closer  loss to Harlan, 31-23.

Mavericks 4-star recruit WR/SS Jordan Clay might give the secondary some trouble with season stats including 10 receptions for 225 yards and touchdown.

SV lost against Brennan 13-24 at home this past Friday. Senior running back Bradley Sowersby galloped for 47 yards and a touchdown on 7 carries while senior Brody Day reined in 7 catches for 74 yards.

The stakes are high, the tension is palpable, and there can only be one winner.
