At the playoff games this season, football fans will see a graphic design on the backs of the playoff shirts – a design created by one of the players’ peers.
Sophomore Waylon Worth, a graphic design student in Nikki Rudloff’s class, designed the “Crack the Code” graphic chosen to represent the football team.
“I thought the broken glass and blast would be really cool especially with the football going through it,” Worth said. “I thought it fits the theme well, and it was unique and different from all the other designs.
The theme drove his inspiration, Worth said.
“I used Adobe Illustrator,” he said. “I had to play around with it a lot, cut a lot of pieces, and I had to offset it.
Tthe hardest part was the planning and beginning the design, Worth said.
“I thought it was really cool,” Worth said. “I wasn’t expecting to make it on the shirts.”
As a sophomore, Worth feels pride in making something that can be seen throughout the school.
“It’s cool to see a design of something so unique,” Worth said. “I hope that people appreciate it and see the hard work that I put in.”
