Football is coming off a dominant win against the New Braunfels Unicorns 56-21 going into the fourth round of playoffs.. The Rangers will be playing in a highly anticipated game against the Flour Bluff Hornets on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Alamodome.
Flour Bluff has big playmakers on both sides of the ball with multiple two way players. The strong suit of Flour Bluff is their offense which is led by senior quarterback Jayden Paleso,who has recorded 54 passing touchdowns and 3982 passing yards on the season. The main target is senior wide receiver Andre Mimms who has 1300 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns on the season. Senior running back Tylor Simpson leads the team in rushing yards with 755 on the season. On the defensive side of the ball, junior linebacker Tristan Wilson leads the team in average tackles with 7.8 tackles per game, junior cornerback Julian Johnson-Tijerina has a total of four interceptions on the season as he leads the secondary to shut out wins.
The Rangers are no slouches when it comes to having big playmakers on both sides of the ball, and coming into this weekend they will have a lot to showcase to their opponent. Leading the offense is senior quarterback Cade Spradling, who has over 1,000 passing yards along with over 500 rushing yards.Senior running back Brad Sowersby is tearing it up in the running with 800 yards rushing, and senior receiver Brody Day is looking to break a milestone as he already has 1,000 passing yards and wants to extend that in this big game. On the opposing side of the ball, the defense is led by junior defensive end Hudson Woods, who has over 50 tackles this season and is looking to add on to that.Senior safeties Diego Davila and Parker Moeller have over 20 solo tackles each and are looking forward to shutting down the passing game of the Flour Bluff offense.
