FCCLA stars shine at competition
Senior Andie O’Brien placed first in Cupcake Battle.

FCCLA Conference and Star Event Competition took place Jan. 27-28 in Corpus Christi.
Advancing to the state competition in April are:
- Andie O’Brien placed first in the Cupcake Battle;
- Lindamaraya Argeaz placed second in Tourism and Hospitality;
- Brianna Esperiqueta, Alexis Parscale and Sheena Gabriel placed third in Food Innovations;
- junior Katelynn Mercier placed fifth in Recycle Redesign;
- senior Sydney Rosener placed fifth in Recycle Redesign; and
- Hope Scheivelbein placed fifth in Focus on Children.
The students were advised by family and community service teachers Lauren DeLoach, Wendy McCuiston and Tina Olcott.
Lindamaraya Argeaz placed second in Tourism and Hospitality.
Freshman Katelynn Mercier placed fifth in Recycle Redesign.
Junior Sydney Rosener placed fifth in Recycle Redesign
Hope Scheivelbein placed fifth in Focus on Children.
