Varsity cross country boys and girls celebrate their formidable showing with Coach Brittney Lanehart at the Chili Pepper festival in Arkansas on Sept. 30.

The boys cross country team took complete command at the Chili Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., Sept. 30, finishing first in the varsity 5k, the third straight top three finish in the last three meets.

Junior Clayton Wilkerson reigned supreme for the team for the second straight meet, finishing 13th out of a 648 runners.

Junior Andres Engle came in 21st place and second place for the team in a second straight meet. The team finished with a final team score of 207.

The girls varsity team was the only other group in attendance for the school, as they finished 14th place in the 5k out of more than 70 schools competing. The highest finisher for the team was junior Sydney Jensen, who finished in 87th place out of 550 runners total.
