Common assessment steps to success

Common Assessments, tests that make sure that students are learning what they need to in the school year, are coming up soon in February.  Here are some studying tips from 20 Study Strategies for Finals:

  1. Get plenty of sleep– Staying up late can affect your concentration and your grade. Getting plenty of sleep can help you be more focused and have more energy.
  2. Study – Studying is key to taking any test and passing. Looking over any notes you may have or even making study guides of your own can help. Never study at the last minute and be sure to prioritize your study time as well.
  3. Ask questions– Stuck on a hard question? Having a hard time understanding? Never hesitate to ask a teacher for help. Asking questions is a good way to help you be successful on a test.
  4. Have fun with it– Make a catchy song about it. Make it a game. There are creative ways to make studying fun and it will help you memorize the topic better.
  5.  Teach others– Helping others is like quizzing yourself by reviewing what you have studied.

The Common Assessment tests are to record what you have learned and it is for a major grade, so it is important to do well.
