Boys swim team caught the wave of success during the UIL Class 6A state swim meet in Austin this past weekend.

The team finished fifth in the 200 meter medley relay race and included  Joe Hunt, Carter Hill, Konnar Klinksiek and Amechi Nwaeze. The 200 meter freestyle relay saw the boys team put forth another solid performance, as Shaun Besch, Nwaeze, Hunt and Klinksiek swam to a ninth place finish.

For the individual races, Klinksiek found himself on the dominant end once again, as he came in third place for both the 50 meter freestyle and the 100 meter freestyle.

Senior Catie Mansker came in 14th place in the 50 meter freestyle, while junior Mackenzie Hamlett came in 19th place for the 500 meter freestyle.

Overall, the boys came in 11th place out of 58 total schools, while the girls came in 49th place out of 53 other schools.
