Track rallies at Lake Travis meet

The varsity track squad competed at the Lake Travis Invitational Feb. 17 as both the boys and girls track squads sprinted past the competition.

Boys track placed first overall with a combined score of 146. In boys high jump Jeremiah Gilliam won bronze with a height of 6.2 and for boys long jump Christian Phelps won bronze with a jump of 20 ft. In pole vault Jeffrey Ricks got bronze with 11.2 ft. In the 200 meter dash Greg Eggleston won bronze with a 23 second sprint. Junior Johnathan Lewis won silver in the 800 meter dash with a time of 1:59.

In boys 1600 meter run Luke Yocum placed second, winning a silver medal with a time of 4:32.The boys 3200 meter run- Clayton Wilkerson won silver with a time of 9:40.Varsity boys won gold in the 4×100 relay with Valdez, Jacob Zuber, Schaar, and Eggleston with a time of 43.27. The boys 4×200 Betsey, Jacob Zuber, Schaar, Eggleston won silver with a time of 1:32. For the 4×400 relay- Schaar, Lewis, Keranen, and Jacob Zuber won silver with 3:28. Sv boys distance medley relays- Gardner, Connolly, Keranan, and Wilkerson won gold with a time of 10:54

Meanwhile the girls distance medley relay got bronze with a time of 13:13 by Mizelle, Mills, Uduji, and Gonzales. Varsity girls 4×200 relay- White, Sanchez, Shows, and Uduji got silver with a time of 1:48.4, following the previous varsity girls 4×400 relay with Mills, Sanchez, Trinidad and Uduji winning silver with a time of 4:03.93. Sv girls 3200 meter run Arianna Gonzales won silver with a time of 12:00.

For girls pole vault Avianna Trinidad won bronze with a height of 10.8,

Girls long jump Jewel Mann won silver with a jump 16.7.
