Aquatics team received All-Star Awards

The Texas Swim Coaches Association released the all-state swimming and diving teams for this year.

In the individual awards, sophomore diver Mackenzie Bush, senior diver Dawson Martinez and freshman swimmer Konnar Klinksiek were recognized as 1st team All-State. Bush placed eighth and Martinez placed sixth in one meter diving. Klinksiek placed fifth in his 50 freestyle and tenth in his 100 freestyle.

For their participation on the 200 freestyle relay, freshman Shaun Besch, junior Ian Ogrodnik, senior Clayton Taylor and freshman Konnar Klinksiek were recognized for 1st Team All-State. The relay placed twelfth at state.

Junior Cole Mansker received 2nd Team All-State recognition. Mansker swam in the 200 medley relay that placed eleventh at state.

Honorable Mention All-State recognition went to sophomore Caitie Mansker. She placed third in the 200 medley relay at regionals and won female athlete of the meet at districts.
