Texas Tech University turned 100 in 2023 and is commemorating its 100th anniversary by visiting campuses across Texas with a mobile bus.

“We will commit ourselves to service and to create access to higher education for thousands of students in the state of Texas,” Sr. Director of Communications and marketing Julian Olivas said. “The Centennial Mobile Tour Bus will create an interactive opportunity for students to visualize, participate and share in this celebration.”

This Monday, Juniors will be able to visit the bus from nine to 12. They will be dismissed in alphabetical order according to last name for 20 minutes each. Teachers have been emailed a schedule with a student roster for dismissal.

“Hosting the TTU Bus will show juniors a possible option for post-graduation planning,” academic and career advisor Lauren Kiesling said. “It will also show them some of the program options four year schools offer. It is crucial for juniors to begin thinking about what they want to do after high school, and this is a great way to start that conversation and get them thinking.”
