Theater advances to region

Theater advanced to the region competition for One-Act play this weekend, placing second at the area competition. 

The show, “Iphigenia,” was written by theater director Casey O’Bryant and stars junior Evie Armour as Iphigenia, senior Rowen Hamilton as Agamennon and sophomore James Berry as Old Man.

Along with placing second, five students received individual awards for their performance, both on stage and in the tech booth. 

Sophomore Alyssa Reboulet was awarded Outstanding Technician, seniors Heavyn Carter and Itzel Schuessler received Honorable mention, and senior Victoria Williams and junior Evie Armour received All Star Cast.

The area competition will take place April 26 at Southwest High School.
