The Calendar Committee for the district has proposed two options for the 2017-18 school year, both having their pros and cons. These two options however change both elementary and secondary school hours.

  • Elementary: 7:40 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Secondary: 8:45 a.m. – 4:10 p.m.

Option A: This option includes a winter break split up with two half weeks and a whole week but the break is only nine days. There would be a mid-winter break in February to make up for the rest of christmas break.

Option B: Christmas break is two full weeks and would follow the schedule of other nearby districts. The district points out that taking the whole week of January 1 might cause child care issues for families.
