Volleyball knocked out of playoffs

The varsity volleyball team ended their season on Tuesday with a tough 0-3 loss to San Antonio Clark. Clark is a very tough team to beat, as they came into the game with an overall record of 37-4 and according to maxpreps.com they are the number 11 team in the state and number 75 in the nation.

Despite Clark coming into the match with a better record, the Rangers fought hard in the first game and only dropped the game by three points. Clark began to show their strength in the second and third games in which they won 25-17 and 25-11. The Rangers statistical leader in the match included Senior Maddie McKay leading in kills with 6, Senior Lauren Kadilis in assists with 10 and junior Lauren Coiner leading in digs with 16.

Smithson Valley’s final record on the season is now 24-16 while they finished 3rd in district with a 9-5 record.
