The Ranger swimming and diving program has waited seven years to have a moment at Regionals like they did this past weekend. While we have had swimmers and relays swim at the State meet in 2010 and 2011, what our team accomplished this weekend is a first. Our girls and boys teams both finished in second place, and overall we were only behind Reagan out of 30 teams competing. The 200 medley relay broke the Region VII meet record as an added bonus.

As if the finish wasn’t enough—we had what felt like a million best times, amazing drops, 13 school records broken (some broken on Friday, and broken again on Saturday), and just all around amazing performance from our Regionals group.

We could not be prouder of everyone who competed, and we look forward to these amazing swimmers and divers representing our school and team in Austin. Everyone is welcome to come support our team this Saturday for finals.

The meet schedule is as follows  Friday, Feb. 19 (Prelims at 4:30PM) Saturday, Feb. 20 (Finals at 3:30PM) at UT Austin Swim Center.
