Football

Varsity football fell 27-13 in their first home game against Harker Heights on Friday, Sept. 2. David DeHoyos led with 41 rushing yards, and he along with Gavin Woods and Zach Gingrich caught the Rangers’ three interceptions. The Rangers scored on a touchdown from T.J. Hunt and two field goals from Clayton Amaya. The next game is this Friday at East Central at 7 p.m. The student section theme is “2000s”. 

Tennis

In a previous game on Sept. 1, tennis fell to Boerne 11-6. They also played at home against Brennan on Tuesday, winning 13-6. They travel to Wagner this Friday, Sept. 9.

Cross Country

Cross country will have their next meet on Saturday, September 10th. They are running in the Pieper invitational located at Pieper high school.

Volleyball

Volleyball defeated Cibolo Steele 3-0 Sept. 2 at home. They also defeated New Braunfels 3-0 Sept. 6 at home, senior Emily Wertz recorded 14 kills while senior Hayley Baskey had 22 assists and junior Brittan Fedyk had 25 digs. Volleyball will play their next game on Friday September 9 against Piper at 6:30pm.
