Football

Football closed out preseason with a 45-7 win over the East Central Hornets.

Scoring included four passing touchdowns, a 54-yard run and a quarterback keeper. East Central, on the other hand, only scored one TD with 8:17 left in the second quarter.
Senior quarterback Chase Senelick had 8/11 completion attempts with 144 yards and three touchdowns. Junior and second string QB Ryland Walker had 2/3 completion attempts for 57 yards and one touchdown. Receiver TJ Hunt pulled down two touchdown passes (49 and 22 yards) while Kyler Clark and Colin Wise scored on their own receptions of 30 and 49 yards, respectively. Brayden Bafidis scampered for 54 yards with 1:44 left in the second half.
Football will make the drive to Rutledge Stadium to take on Wagner Friday at 7 p.m. The student section week’s theme is Safari.

Volleyball

Volleyball won 3-0 against San Antonio Veterans Memorial Sept. 13. Match scores were 25-10, 25-6, and 25-11. Junior Olivia Fuentes had 10 kills, while senior Hayley Barsky had 23 assists and junior Brittan Fedyk had 15 digs. Volleyball takes on Wagner with a record of 9-19 Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at home.

Tennis 
Tennis took home a district win against Tivy with a score of 13-6 on Sept. 13. They will play Laredo at 9 a.m and Del Rio at 1 p.m. at A.T.C.

Water Polo

On Saturday, water polo fell to Canyon 10-9. They will play a Davenport tomorrow, with the girls starting at 4:40 p.m. and the boys at 5:30 p.m.

Cross Country

Cross Country took home a win in girls and boys varsity divisions at the Pieper Invite on Saturday. Schaefer Robertson came in 3rd and Bradyn Youngdahl was right behind him in 4th. Mia Perez placed 2nd for the girls team and Sophia Goodwin placed 3rd.
