Volleyball beat Seguin in just three sets on  Sept. 30, sparking a four-game winning district in district.

After sweeping the Matadors, the team took down Pieper, Veterans Memorial and Wagner.

Their district record is currently 8-1, ranked second just behind Canyon, who they lost to on Sept. 23. Volleyball travels to Canyon on Oct. 18 for a big district showdown.

“The energy was definitely a highlight plus the great jump of points we started off with, which allowed us to have everyone play,” senior Emily Wertz said. “Some highs were how everyone played and we all worked really well together and communicated through the whole game. Our lows would be making a couple of unforced errors to allow them to get points they didn’t earn.”

Volleyball will play its next game away against Kerrville Tivy at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Wertz said, “For the next game we hope to improve on being more consistent and putting in plays we have worked on in practice into games.”
