Tennis advances to regionals, Volleyball remains undefeated and more.

Volleyball continues to hold their undefeated streak, and they donned pink uniforms last Friday at New Braunfels to spread awareness for breast cancer.

At the Marble Falls XC Invite, both varsity boys and girls took first place overall. The Rangers top runners  were sophomore Sophia Perez, who placed second overall for girls, and senior Garrison Mangan, who placed second overall for the boys. 

Football upset reigning, undefeated district champion Clemens on Friday, to move to 3-1 on the season (1-1 in district). The 34-7 win was highlighted by four rushing touchdowns from Jalen Nutt and a dominant performance from the defense, which forced three turnovers on the Buffaloes’ home turf. The triumph put the team back in the driver’s seat for a playoff berth. This week’s Homecoming game will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday against South San, a team that has yet to play a game and had to forfeit last week’s contest with Judson due to South San ISD’s strict coronavirus restrictions.

Swim competed in a meet on October 24, defeating both Lee and Madison. This was coming off a win against Boerne and Boerne Champion. They face Reagan in three weeks, which will be their hardest opponent yet. 

After defeating Johnson at home, the tennis team went on to win their Bi-District match against Churchill High School. They will be competing at Regionals this Friday. 

Boys golf competed in a tournament on October 22, facing Steele. They took home first and third place. Girls golf also competed against Starke Park on October 22.

Volleyball defeated New Braunfels on the enemy’s court last Friday night, and they went on to sweep South San on Saturday. Last night, they defeated Clemens at home to continue their 10-0 winning streak.
