Tips for attending Austin City Limits

Austin City Limits, one of the biggest music festivals, will be returning for its 22nd year this weekend and next.

Boasting a line-up of musicians from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, The 1975 and Lil Yachty to name a few, ACL will take place at Zilker park with more than 140 artists, eight stages and plenty of food options from local Austin eateries.

At this point in time, the only way to get tickets is through official resale on the ACL website. These resale tickets are pretty pricey, but if you really want to go, it’s the safest way.

Notorious for its horrifying parking, be prepared for the mad dash for a parking spot anywhere near downtown Austin. Usually, it’s best to park farther away and plan to take the bus toward Zilker Park.

In terms of weather, week one and two are forecasted to have cooler temperatures, so dress accordingly.

With so many artists playing, it might be difficult to decide who to go see, here are a few recommendations.

If you’re looking for a smooth RnB performance, stop by to see Sudan Archives, RAY, or Amaarae.

Looking for an exciting punkier set, Death Grips, Snõõper and Yeah Yeah Yeahs are all must see shows.

Maybe you want to listen to a powerful hip-hop showcase from BigXThaPlug, Glorilla or Little Simz.

Whoever you’re there to see it’s bound to be a fun time, just be safe, drink water and prepare for a long day of standing.
