The golf team will compete at state Monday at the Legacy Hills Golf Club. Golfers including as Zach Seader, Aiden Page, Anniiston Mcllwain, Cole Cantu, and Ryan Griff will represent the boys team, while Sayers Allen will play.

Four seniors from the wrestling team flew to Las Vegas to compete in the Freakshow 2023 competition. Efren 5-2 4th place; Tristan 5-2; Sierra 3-2; Lucie 1-2

Football

This past Friday the Rangers won 62-0. 

The Rangers defense was on lockdown with a total of 5 turnovers, such as 4 fumble Recoveries and an interception. They held Mcarthur to only 76 total yards. 

The offense on the other hand had a total of 305 yards, 215 yards rushing and 90 yards passing. Senior Ryland Walker threw for 4 touchdowns. Senior Cole Freund caught 2 of them, and senior Freddy Dubose and Cade Dornburg each caught one. Junior Brad Sowersbey ran the ball in for 2 touchdowns and junior Daniel de Hoyos ran it in for one. Their next game is an away game against Boerne Champion on Oct. 20, this Friday, 7 o’clock, at Boerne ISD Stadium. 

Their next game will be this Friday at Boerne Champion, 7 p.m.

 

Volleyball

This Tuesday, Ranger Volleyball lost to the Canyon Cougars 1-3. Senior Megan Zamora led the team in kills with 14. Senior Olivia Fuentes led the team in blocks with 3, senior Brittan Fedyk had 20 digs and senior Marlow Berry had 24 assists. 

Zamora was awarded an Express News Game Ball for her part in the wins of Wagner and Tivy last week. Zamora combined for 23 kills, seven blocks, and nine digs. She also had 16 kills alone against Tivy.

Their next district game is this Friday at 7 p.m. against Boerne Champion.

 

Cross Country

Boys 5000 Meter Run senior Bradyn Youngdhal placed first with a time of 15:58.47 and sophomore Zebene Martine who placed fith with a time of 16:24.84 lead the boys to get second place overall and advance to Regionals.

Girls 5000 Meter Run junior Mia Perez placed second with a time of 19:13.54 and will also be advancing to Regionals.
