From diapers to toys to motorcycles, members of Skills USA joined forces to deliver holiday gifts to eight families.
Leah Romero, Clarissa Wallace and Addison Coerver raised funds and worked with the LE MC Southern Justice Motorcycle Club (comprosed mostly of law enforcement officers and first responders) to deliver gifts to eight families on Dec. 15.
The three aspiring health professionals shopped for the gifts.
“After, we wrapped all the presents individually per child to give them the satisfaction of opening gifts,” the press release said. “Although our main focus was the was families, we purchased extra presents to make sure everyone in the same community got a Christmas gift.”
On the day of delivery, two motorcycle club members dressed up: one as Santa and the other as the Grinch.
“We drove to all the families’ houses, and the motorcycles would rev their bikes and the family would come out to a surprise and the people in the surrounding houses or apartment complexes would join the excitement as well,” the press release said.
