Girls Soccer
This past Tuesday the team played Boerne Champion, winning 4-0. Goals were scored by junior Morgan Heintz(2), senior Raelyn Hinojosa (1), and sophomore Peyton Cox (1).
Three assists were given by junior Addie Briscoe while senior Alyssa Pipes had one. `
Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Watters played 60 minutes and had one save with zero goals against. Cox played goalkeeper for 20 minutes and had two saves with zero goals against.
The team still ranks first in district with a record of 7-0-2 and an overall record of 9-4-2. They look to play at home this Friday against Alamo Heights, at 7:15 p.m.
Boys soccer
Boys soccer on Feb. 18 Wrangled the Boerne Champion Chargers securing the home win 4-3. This puts the Rangers on a four game winning streak; they are now 6-5-4 overall and 4-2-3 in district play. Sophomore Leo Urrutia to tie the game at the beginning of the second half scored from the corner kick and sent into the net from the set piece. To bring themselves back from the 3-1 deficit senior Josh Mozzata scored from a long shot well outside the box. And to tie the game 3-3 Urrutia scored his second of the night, which he sent screaming past the keeper from a considerable distance. Once again Urrutia scored the game winning goal, which not only secured the win for the rangers 4-3, but he scored another hat trick. The Rangers next game was away at Alamo Heights on Feb. 21 at 7:15p.m.
Softball
This week softball played Boerne Champion and won 16-0. Senior Arianna Capek, UNM commit, pitched a perfect game, while freshman Piper Moeller had a home run to help lead the team to victory.
Their JV team also won against Boerne Champion, 10-0. Sophomore Ava DeBoy pitched a complete game no-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead the JV team.
Baseball
The Rangers Next game will be playing against MacArthur on this friday at 11:30a.m.
Wrestling
It was a historical night for Ranger wrestling as they finished off this season on a high note with multiple ranger wrestlers placing in the State finals. Here are the Results from this past weekend:

Junior Bryce Palmer became the only SV wrestler to be a 3x state place winner adding on a State championship to his resume. The celebration has only just started for our ranger athletes!
Track and Field
This past Friday track had a great start to the season at the Comal ISD Relays held at Canyon high school. Despite the cold weather, the girls 4x800m team won first and broke a school record with a time of 9:14.08, claiming top time in the state this year. Senior, UT track and XC commit, Mia Perez started the race for the team with a split time of 2:09.89, followed by freshman Skyler Fonseca (2:26.37), then third leg junior Lilly Koeing (2:15.58), with freshman Brady Solansky finishing for the team with a split of 2:21.98.
